I’m still trying to get into this whole dramatic sleeves thing. I mean, I’m already pretty dramatic…how much more drama do I need to project on myself? You can see my short-lived (though somewhat still brewing in the back of my mind) fascination with oversized sleeves here, but it does not address any situation that deals with wearing things more recent than the 1970’s.

Le Chateau to the rescue here. I had to try on this top before loving it; it had two of my least favourite clothing elements: a peplum shape (I’m sorry, who invented that?), and flowy sleeves. It’s still contemporary, and surprisingly versatile despite the light pink it seems to scream. We also have Aimee Song to thank for her advocation of statement sleeves. She’s an authority that I apparently trust for advice.

Nevertheless, here I am indulging in a crisply, girlishly flouncy version of myself. What a dichotomy.
