Winner Winner

I’m probably the last blogger to try out this look: the slightly loose girlfriend jeans that have become the latest sensation at Urban Outfitters, silky black tank top sustainably sourced from Reformation (which just keeps getting better and better at emptying my bank account…their clothes are TOO good), the red bandana from a vintage store (Mama Loves You…where else?), and some random shoes scouted at Winners, of all places.

Outfit fit for a queen, if you ask me. I’m particularly obsessed with these shoes, the brand of which I cannot even read because I’m more distracted by the $40 price tag. So, since Winners is promoting their #WINNERSFabFinds hashtag/program, here’s my contribution:

Shoes from Bettye Muller for Ann Marino, $40.00 at the Queen St. West location. Bettye Muller, if you didn’t know, is a New York-based actress-turned-shoe-designer (she was in Woody Allen’s Stardust Memories) known for her vintage-inspired styles that can last a girl 24 hours without her toes pinching and bleeding, a problem that I deal with all too often. She designed shoes for Marc Jacobs when he designed for Perry Ellis and other noteworthy designers before launching her own line in the late 90’s. These shoes remind me of heeled Gucci Horsebit loafers without the faint-worthy price. Anthropologie loves her. So does Cameron Diaz.

The only problem with shopping at Winners is that I can’t give any shopping links. However, here is a link to the Bettye Muller website, where you’ll find that a ton of her shoes are actually on sale…you’re welcome.
