I love the French lifestyle. There’s always time for coffee, always time for socializing. They prioritize enjoyment. On a recent visit back to Toronto, I went for coffee with the family. I set aside copious amounts of homework and note-taking to enjoy an hour or two with people I had not seen in a long time.
Let me tell you, I now understand how procrastination can be a pastime. We went to the cafe located at the back of La Coquine restaurant, appropriately titled La Coquine Express, and sat drinking macchiattos and eating yummy macarons. The rain didn’t stop us from sitting outside either, because the coffee was unbelievable, and we were in the cozy comfort of family and a beautiful cafe environment. It’s a sophisticated slice of good old Paris in the middle of Toronto, and I can’t wait to try its sister restaurant.
