I bought this skirt from Zara way back in the day (meaning a month ago). It’s been staring at me longingly from the hanger which holds it up and I felt so guilty for neglecting it during this cold weather. Alas, I had to google how to wear a midi skirt in the midst of this season, to which google kindly replied: with tights.
There’s sheer beauty in nylon stockings (literally, too); they permit clothing for warmer climates to be worn in my least favourite season!
For these outfits, Yazmin and I decided to go with a monochrome colour-blocking theme with a bold red lip. You can’t go wrong when you’re at opposite ends of the spectrum, can you? Only if you wear red and green, I guess. Then, I may not forgive you.
There’s a moral to this story, I swear. Several, actually. Firstly: midi skirts are secretly the greatest thing to be brought back from the era of poodle skirts. Secondly, always wear a jacket when it is below summer.
Thanks to Yazmin and Noah for a fun impromptu shoot!
